Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation Review

Hi lovelies! I recently tried out the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation and see how would it fare out on my combination skin. As you would know, I am always in constant search of a makeup base that would work for my skin type and our tropical weather. So here are my thoughts on the Rimmel kind.

Claims

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation claims to have a feather light or lightweight texture despite of its creamy consistency. The product also says that it will blend flawlessly to give you a natural looking finish. And it boasts of its ability to control oil all day to give you a matte baby soft finish. 

Packaging

The product comes into a simple squizzable tube with a reasonable dimension so it fits any makeup bags. 

Application

I first tried to use a foundation brush to apply the liquid mousse to my face but I founf it hard to blend it well to my skin. Thus, I used a wet blending sponge instead and it seamlessly blended and did not streak. Since it is a mousse foundation, it has a medium to heavy coverage.However, you need to build your coverage little by little. 

Review

After 8 hours…

CoverageI love the coverage of this product. Since it easily hides my imperfections even without the use of concealer. It can also be used with or without primer. However, if you have oily skin, using a  primer is always recommended before applying the product.

Application

As I previously mentioned, it is best apply using a wet makeup sponge or beauty blender. This will enable you to distribute the product to your skin without streaking. Depending on your desired coverage a pea-size amount can cover your face.

Feel

Although it has a creamy consistency,  the product is surprisingly lightweight and did not feel greasy or heavy. 

Longevity

I tried the product during summer season and it did stayed on my face almost all day. However, due to the sweltering heat, I need to powder my face after 6 or 7 hours. 

Overall Assessment

Overall, I will give the product 8 out of 10. In my experience, I love the coverage it gives and the lightweight feel. I am satisfied on how long my face stayed matte despite the summer heat.

However, the mode of application limits me to using sponge only and that it is not available in local market unless on specialty or online stores.

All women know that makeup is an art. Thus, it is a form of self- expression. When you put on your makeup, you are showcasing to the world your own work of art because art creates your own kind of beauty.

Makeup helps you get through bad days

We face a lot of stress everyday and bad days can be so dragging that they affect your whole being. Makeup gets a lot of women out of the dump. It is like a box of chocolates that instantly lifts your mood ones you take a bit of it. There is a saying that even in a bad day, there is always lipsticks. True, a little color to your face makes a lot of difference to your whole being.
