Summer-proof makeup goal

Summer is almost over but it is still hot as hell outside. On this kind of weather, you are tempted to skip makeup because chances are it will just meltdown in this heat. However, you can still enjoy the sun while keeping your makeup intact with these little tricks.

Lessen the product application

The more product you put in your face, the bigger the chance that it will cake in the sweltering heat. So minimize your cosmetics. Instead of putting on too many creams or powder, choose products that are multifunction (i.e., moisturize, protects and covers imperfections) to eliminate too many product application. Also, opt for lightweight and waterbased formula.

Use face primer

You can never go wrong with a face primer. Aside from preventing your face from oiling, it also prolongs the life of your makeup wear. Use products that are suitable for your skin needs.

Load up on SPF

We know that too much sun is harmful to our skin as it does not only gives you sunburn but it is also the main culprit of premature sking aging and hyper-pigmentation. Choose products that have high spf to protect you from UV rays. Choose a broad spectrum one that can shield your skin from UVA & UVB skin damage.

Use water-resistant makeup

To avoid makeup meltdown, choose products that is not only smudge-proof but also waterproof. Use waterproof mascara and liquid eyeliners to your peepers to avoid racoon eyes. Choose brow gel or wax to your arch to prolong its wear.

Go for lip liner

Line and fill your lips with a lip liner to prolong your lipstick. Lip liner gives your lips something to adhere to that is why it lasts long. Choose a shade nearest to your natural lip color.

Seal in your makeup

After putting on your makeup, dust it with a translucent finishing powder or spritz a setting spray to seal in your makeup. This will minimize too many retouches throughout the day.
